On Monday, February, 16th, 2026 The assistant professor Dr. Ahmed Zidan, a lecturer from the department of automated manufacturing engineering at Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering, Baghdad University, participated as an external examiner in the master defense committee, for the master candidate (Aseel Karim Ahmed) at the department of prosthetic and orthotic engineering, Al-Nahrin University.
The thesis included evaluation of the biomechanics performance for prosthetic systems fixed on the bone above the knee as a replacement of conventional cavities by analyzing actual biomechanical loads using motion capturing techniques and finite element modeling aligned with sustainable medical techniques.

The results demonstrate that developed designs harmoniously outperformed in distributing loads , as well as enhanced mechanical stability compared to conventional designs, hence, a degree of pass with distinction was awarded to the candidate for her research findings.
