On Tuesday, December 23rd, 2025 Al-Khwarizmi College of engineering received the head of the university’s supervision and scientific evaluation division, professor Dr. Salah Alfatlawi, accompanied by the ministerial team and the head of valuation and quality assurance division at the ministry of higher education and scientific research in Kurdistan region, professor Dr. Muhammad Hussein Ahmed.

This visit is part of several visits conducted by the ministry to follow up on the implementation of the eighteenth academic accreditation procedures and evaluate institutional performance in Iraqi universities, where the specialized committee continues their work for three consecutive days.
The visit included reviewing quality standards, the scientific research requirements, facilities and infrastructure of the classrooms, faculty members room, laboratories, as well as following up on the academic and managerial work in the scientific departments, and evaluating the quality of service provided.
The committee reviewed the accredited standards and documents to strengthen academic curricula, discussing approaches of developing them aligning with academic accreditation and quality standards.
Moreover, evaluating material and financial resources through reviewing procedures of resources management and accredited financial planning, in which reflecting the level of precision and arrangements used at the college.
The committee was accompanied by the dean assistant for administrative affairs, quality assurance officer, and some personnel, in which contributed to facilitating the committee tasks and providing the requested documents and data.
At the end, the ministerial team formed a positive impression of the college’s performance, appreciating the noticeable efforts presented by the deanship and the whole staff in providing authentic academic environment complied with quality standards and institutional accreditation.
