Al-Khwarizmi College at Baghdad university received new Arab students accepted for the academic year 2025-2026 enrolled in the study in Iraq program, in a step reflecting Iraqi academic institutions’ collaborations and promoting its regional position.
Students gradually landed from several Arab countries to Baghdad international airport, where the authorized committee received them and provided all the prerequisites including enrollment procedures and accommodations requirements.
On this occasion, the dean of the college, professor Dr. Wadoud Taher Muhammad, emphasized that this welcome complies with the ministry ‘s mission in making Iraqi universities as an attractive environment for students coming from different countries. “The college welcomes dear students arrived from Arab countries who chose the university of Baghdad to be their ultimate academic journey station, they are not a number but messengers of science and culture and we’ll work to providing a decent academic and research environment that suits their ambitions, the dean of the college said.”
The dean also highlights that the college has professional faculty members and specialized competencies in different engineering majors, which makes it a pioneering institution in Iraq, adding that dispatched students will be ambassadors of their countries. Needless to say, that our country would reclaim the pioneering position in knowledge creation and skills development.
Moreover, the dean scientific assistant, assistant professor Dr. Hisham Hasan Jasim, explained that “Study in Iraq program” represents a cultural and scientific collaboration bridge between Iraq and Arab countries, reflecting the civilizational image of the country, and the educational institution capabilities in competing and accepting students from different nationalities.
