Scientific Innovation and the Pursuit of Sustainable Solutions.
A new achievement has been added to the distinguished record of accomplishments of Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering at Baghdad University, where the college team ranked third in a competition held under the title ” Smart Innovation Toward Sustainable Solutions. ” The event was sponsored by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Naeem Al-Abbudi, and supervised by Professor Dr. Ibrahim Saeed Hayawi, President of Warith Al-Anbiyaa, with the attendance of elite academics and experts in the field of AI. The competition included the participation of 94 projects from over 22 private and state universities across Iraqi provinces, covering a wide range of fields such as security, robotics, engineering applications, veterinary science, and agriculture. This showcased the promising potential and innovative vision of Iraqi youth. As a result, the team was rewarded for their innovative project titled ” AI-Mpox: A Machine Learning-Based Approach for Early Detection and Diagnosis of Monkeypox. ” This project integrated artificial intelligence with the medical field by using machine learning techniques for the early detection of Monkeypox, which has contributed to strengthening preventive health efforts and serving the human community.
