The master thesis of Mr. Falah Hasan Abd Khalifa, a candidate for a master’s degree, was defended on Wednesday morning 29th of Jan,2025 at Al-Khwarizmi Central Hall and Professor Dr. Ahmed Abd Mohammed, college of Environment at Baghdad University, was chaired the thesis committee that consisted of assistant professor Dr. Sarmad Talib Najem, Al-Nahren university at Chemical engineering department, assistant professor Dr. Ziad Tarek Ahmed, Al-Khwarizmi college at Baghdad university and supervised by Professor Dr. Ali Abbar, Al-Khwarizmi college at Baghdad university. After the candidate had finished the defense, the chair of the committee announced the degree of excellence awarded to the candidate for his research findings which are concluded:
Draining untreated wastewater from hospitals posed serious environmental risks due to the availability of hazardous substances, chemicals, and infected factors.
Thus, adopting a new approach of high efficiency and low cost is challenging. In this research, a new method is used to prepare Cu-SnO2-Sb2O5 anode by cathodic electrodeposition by combining rotation with pulsed current. The efficiency of the anode was investigated using the anodic oxidation process alone or in combination with the photocatalytic process (UV/TiO2 and UV/ZnO) on removing pollutants from Diwaniyah General Hospital and the results were promising and stable. This thesis included several outputs: submitted patent right, and five research one of them approved to be published in Al-Khwarizmi journal, two have been published in first quarter journals Q1 Scopus and the rest two are in the reviewing process in the same Q1, Scopus, also a certificate of participation has been obtained by Iraqi universities scientific outputs fair.
