Sponsored by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the 1st volunteering conference was held in Al-Hakeem Hall at Baghdad University, attended by the head of the university supervision and evaluation department, Iraqi universities’ presidents, the head of the Iraqi academic union, elite faculty members, and students.
Through the proceedings, Baghdad University achieved first place in volunteering work, and Al-Khwarizmi College was awarded the shield of appreciation that was received by the college’s representative, Mr. Ali Saleh Wajid, from the Biomedical Engineering Department.
This appreciation emphasized the vital role of the college in boosting volunteering initiatives, promoting a giving spirit and social responsibility, aligning with the ministry’s directions to solidify volunteering initiatives at universities.
