On Monday, Oct 20, 2025, Al Al-Khwarizmi College hosted the Table Tennis Tournament that was organized by the Student Activities Department at Baghdad University and held in the Athletic Activities Hall at the college. This tournament is part of the college’s efforts to support athletic activities and promote a healthy spirit of competition among students.
The tournament witnessed a diverse range of participants; 20 teams participated from Jadriya, Bab Al-Muadhem, and Al-Waziriyah complex, creating a unique atmosphere of excitement, noticeable interactions, and various athletic levels.
Through the tournament, many talented players showed prominent and exceptional skills as well as sportsmanship, reflecting excellent levels of the students.
The event was attended by the manager of the students’ activities department at the university presidency, Dr Ali Sadiq, the dean’s administrative assistant, Professor Dr. Faiz Fawzi, faculty members, and a student audience who enthusiastically encouraged the competing teams.
The tournament was concluded by awarding the winners, in which Media College achieved first place, Medicine College achieved second place, and Education College achieved third place.
In a celebratory atmosphere, medals and a trophy were awarded to the top teams by the dean’s assistant and the students’ activities department manager to recognize their esteemed efforts and vital participation.
Moreover, Personnel who were in charge of organizing the tournament emphasized that this event is part of the university’s annual plan to promote students and athletic activities as well as create an integrated environment between extracurricular activities and academic education.
They also highlighted the exceptional organization arranged by Al-Khwarizmi College, contributing to the success of the tournament and making it a recognizable championship.
