The researcher, Professor Dr. Heba Muhammed Fadhil, Communication and information engineering department at Baghdad University, participated in the third international conference for computer science and programming engineering (CSASE 2025) organized by Duhok University to be held from 15th to 17th of April,2025, in a hybrid format combining between in person attendance and virtual participation and under the technical supervision from IEEE computer institution
The researcher presented two studies that showed the use of artificial intelligence algorithms and computer vision techniques to process complicated challenges in data science and image analysis.
(A Hybrid Grey Wolf–Whale Optimization Model for Feature Selection)
This research included developing a hybrid model combining grey wolf and whale algorithms that aimed to enhance feature selection in machine learning applications. This would contribute to improving the quality of models and decreasing computational complexity.
(Automatic Jigsaw Puzzle Assembly Using Computer Vision and Optimization Algorithms)
Furthermore, this research demonstrated an automatic system and optimization algorithms to combine Jigsaw puzzles smartly and accurately. Those techniques could be exploited in other fields such as image analysis and document recovery. This participation reflected the researcher’s efforts in developing solutions relying on smart models and advanced algorithms to process actual trouble in artificial intelligence, data analysis, and computational vision.
