Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering achieved the top-ranking level at Baghdad University in the environmental sustainability competition, which was held by the presidency of Baghdad University with the remarkable academic participation of professors, researchers, and students of the university-affiliated institutions.
The competition included six categories (work environment, the university green areas, energy and climate change, waste management, effective usage of water, campus transportation, education, and scientific research in the field of environmental sustainability)
Al-Khwarizmi College has won three prizes among 18 prizes for the top scientific research and first entrepreneurial projects related to the professor (Dr. Muhammed Abd Attya Alsaraaj), a faculty member at the Biochemical Engineering Department. And, the faculty member from the communication and information engineering department, Assistant Professor (Dr. Heba Muhammed Fadhil) achieved a second ranking in the field of environment and green areas through ceremonies held by Baghdad University session attended by Baghdad University’s president and college deans on Monday 17th of February,2025
This exceptional contribution is considered a significant achievement for all Al-Khwarizmi College departments.
