The student achieved a pass with merit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Palatino Linotype';font-size: 17px\">The thesis focused on enhancing hydraulic system performance by replacing the proportional valve with a digital valve unit. Two systems were experimentally implemented\u2014conventional and digital\u2014and simulated using PLC. A FLUIDSIM-Hydraulic program was used as a tool to simulate and control the system.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Palatino Linotype';font-size: 17px\">The DVU, composed of parallel on\/off solenoid valves, is controlled by geometric-sequence-based logic. This approach demonstrated accurate control and improved lining properties, along with flexible operation at low flow rates. The results show that the digital system outperforms the conventional one in terms of accuracy and reliability, making it a promising choice for modern hydraulic control applications.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Palatino Linotype';font-size: 17px\">The study demonstrated that digital hydraulic systems offer practical and cost-effective solutions due to their simple design, low operational costs, and high performance in regulating response and speed.
