environmental sustainability principles by efficiently managing resources and promoting environmentally friendly practices on campus, aligning with sustainable goals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\"><strong>\ud83c\udf31<\/strong> Energy resources:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">The college works on promoting and disseminating the data related to energy resources including:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">\u00a0Renewable energy:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">Shed light on using solar panels or any renewable sources in the college.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">Energy \u2013 saving<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">Posting policies and regulations related to electricity saving inside classrooms and laboratories.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">Energy saving devices<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">Using efficient appliances in consuming energy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">Water and Energy management<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">Promoting the use of water recycling systems or modern irrigation technologies in gardens and green areas at the college.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\"><strong>\ud83d\udca7<\/strong> Water management<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">The college strives to maintain water resources by:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">Disseminating awareness programs related to water conservation.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">Implementing water- saving practices.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">Promoting sustainable use of water resources on campus.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\"><strong>\u267b\ufe0f<\/strong><strong> (Waste Management)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">Reduce paper usage: Using instead electronic archiving and digital communication to reduce paper consumption.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\"><strong>(Recycling)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">Providing waste segregation at source (paper, plastic, glass) and coordinating with licensed authorities for recycling.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">Hazardous waste management<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">Implementing safe practices to dispose of chemical and biological wastes produced from laboratories to protect the environment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\"><strong>\ud83d\udeb6<\/strong> Sustainable transportation:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">The college promotes the initiatives that contributes to reducing carbon emissions resulting from transportation, as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">Encourage walking: providing safe and convenient walking paths for pedestrians on campus<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">Public transportation: promoting public transportation for employees and students to reduce the use of private vehicles.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">Environmentally friendly vehicles: Encouraging the use of bicycles and electric vehicles and allocating convenient parking areas in the college.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">Environmental awareness: disseminating digital posters and stickers on the importance of reducing consumption and protecting the environment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">The college vision:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">Al-Khwarizmi college of Engineering strives to provide a sustainable environment that supports innovations and preserve natural resources for future
