First: A brief historical overview
Work methodology: The Scientific Committee formed three committees to create postgraduate curricula and develop an appropriate map according to the needs of the labor market and the rapid development of the department’s specialization in international universities. The committees began their work in November 2015, and after several meetings, the general objectives, curricula, and requirements that must be available for the creation were approved. They were approved and submitted to the Deanship in the minutes of the eighth Scientific Committee, No. (35) on 2/8/2016.
Official procedures:
The study was submitted in full within a form – a special information form for the request to create postgraduate studies – (Form 512) on 2/24/2016, but the responses of the concerned ministries that were addressed were delayed (as it is one of the requirements for creating the study), except for one ministry (Science and Technology at the time).
The department re-submitted (Form 512) on 9/23/2018 after receiving the required answers and the university presidency’s amendments to the form. 8 amendments were sent from the above date until the last version in February.
The official approval came to establish postgraduate studies in the department according to University Order No. (Demand/1194) on 3/28/2019.
The first session: The first session of postgraduate studies in our department began in the academic year 2019/2020 for the course stage, then in 2020, an order was issued to retire one of the graduate lecturers (Assistant Professor) and transfer another (assignment to the deanship), so admission was suspended for the year 2020/2021.
Suspension and resumption of study:
Suspension of admission for the year 2020/2021 due to a lack of academic titles.
A plan was submitted to resume master’s studies in the same year and was not approved by the university presidency.
A second resumption plan was submitted for the academic year (2021/2022) and approval came by University Order No. 2021.
