Library Division
The college library is a division within the organizational structure of the College of Engineering Al-Khwarizmi and is affiliated to the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and includes three administrative units: the supply, indexing and classification unit, the loan and beneficiary services unit, and the free education unit.
The librarian is a teacher who holds a master’s degree in information and libraries who is responsible for supervising and organizing the library, receiving books, letters and periodicals received from various parties, preserving books and supplies in the library, making an annual inventory of the library’s contents from all scientific sources and any other matters related to the work and duties of the library.
It seeks to collect, organize, retrieve and broadcast sources of information in all its forms, to facilitate or facilitate the access of researchers and beneficiaries to these sources, as soon as possible, with the least effort and the greatest possible accuracy, in order to satisfy their needs and desires of information in their field of competence or work, whether in its traditional or digital form.
Establishment
The library was established with its first nucleus in 2003 with the establishment of the college, then the independent scientific library of the college was opened, which included 200 books in engineering sciences at the beginning of the mother.
