Master thesis has been discussed by the researcher (Mead Haider Kadhium) from Biochemical engineering department on Tuesday in 31th of December, 2024 on Al-Khwarizmi central hall and the committee was leading by the professor Dr. Malik Mustafa Muhammed from AL-Mustaqbal university, professor Dr. Atheer Ghaleb from university of Baghdad, and Dr. Muhammed Jacob Issa from Al- Khwarizmi college of engineering, biochemical engineering department.
Upon completion of the discussion the chief of the committee declared the degree obtained which was excellence.
The abstract of the research was (Application of aqueous two phase system in the extraction of enzymes by using ATPS to divide and extract invertase enzyme which is the targeted enzyme in the research. It is considered the main and significant enzyme in food production which plays an important role in metabolism of sucrose through production of D-fructose and D-glucose and also used as an immune booster, as an anti-oxidant, and an antiseptic and it is also helpful for bone cancer or cancer patients in some cases. Whereas this enzyme has been extracted from two sources potato tubers and baker’s yeast.
