Dr. Heba Muhammed Fadhil, a lectuturer in the communication and information engineering department, participated in the leadership initiative that is launched by IRAQI government to support small and mid start ups, with a remarkable project entitled waste management application in smart cities.
The project aimed to developing integral system relies on AI techniques and digital transformation for waste management in cities which in turn contributed to improving modern environment and achieved sustainability. The application depends on innovative techniques to organize wastages in addition to sorting and recycling it with high efficiency. This will contribute to promoting life quality of citizens.
Through participation, Dr. Heba pointed out the support presented by this initiative for youth and researchers and emphasized that this initiative considered exceptional opportunity to convert creative thoughts to touchable projects that reflect positively on economy and environment.
It is worth mentioning that this initiative sponsored by government, leardered by prime minister Muhammed Shia Al Sudani, aimed to enabling youth and academic community to invest their innovative capability in building developmental projects that serve national economy and open new scopes for entrepreturship in Iraq.
