Graduate Affairs
Biography:
Postgraduate studies were established at the Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering in 2004 to study the master’s degree in the Department of Mechatronics Engineering. In 2009, the master’s degree in the Department of Automated Manufacturing Engineering was created. In 2015, the master’s degree in the Department of Biochemical Engineering was created. Currently, work is being done to create it in the Department of Information and Communications Engineering in 2019.
The tasks of the Graduate Affairs Division are to facilitate applications for graduate studies via the graduate studies website, review applicants’ applications, and receive files from students. After accepting the students, the Graduate Affairs Division issues an administrative order to place the students in the scientific department. The Graduate Affairs Division also edits official letters and endorsements and facilitates tasks for the student inside and outside the university.
The Graduate Affairs Division upgrades students’ records in the event of failure, cheating, or absence. It also issues administrative orders approving research for students in the research year, and when the period is not completed, the Graduate Affairs Division issues administrative orders to extend it to the student in need of an additional period. The Graduate Affairs Division follows up the student in the preparatory year through the monthly follow-up form that it receives from the department. The Graduate Affairs Division also issues an official letter to the scientific evaluator and the linguistic evaluator to evaluate the student’s thesis and after that issues an administrative order to form a discussion committee for the student. The division also monitors the discussion hall for the student, prepares the minutes of the discussion, and receives the minutes of the discussion after the discussion committee finishes. After completing the discussion, it issues an administrative order to the university granting a certificate to the student.
After the student graduates, the Graduate Affairs Division issues documents, confirmations, and murals for the graduating student. In addition to the university’s response to the official letters. It also prepares annual statistics and an annual report to the Studies, Planning, and Follow-up Division.
