Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering took center stage at the opening ceremony of the Iraq Education Exhibition, held at the Baghdad International Fair from September 9th to September 16th, 2023. The prestigious event was graced by the presence of distinguished figures, including His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and the representative of the University of Baghdad’s rector, Dean of Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Wadood Tahir Mohamed. Additionally, it drew the attention of academic luminaries, including university rectors, members of the Iraqi House of Representatives’ Education Committee, and renowned academics from international institutions.
The opening ceremony featured insightful speeches from key figures, addressing various topics such as future projects, digital transformation initiatives, the Bologna process, collaboration with UNESCO, and the impactful “Study in Iraq” project.
Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering proudly showcased its contributions at the University of Baghdad’s pavilion, presenting a range of scientific engineering projects and patents developed by both professors and students across various scientific departments. It’s important to highlight that our college has previously engaged in numerous scientific forums and exhibitions, both within universities and across government institutions and the private sector.
