A scientific lecture was held in the Department of Biochemical Engineering entitled Electrochemical technologies in wastewater treatment, on Monday 19/12/2022, in the Hall of the College Council, in the presence of a number of professors, teaching staff and students of the department.The presentation discussed treatment of liquid waste resulting from factories and other waste water places where the methods used were divided into different categories including:
electrical deposition in the removal of heavy metals, electroflotation which is applied to remove oil stains as well as suspended solids and electrical oxidation of both types. In addition to the methods resulting from combining the two methods for treating liquid waste and its importance at the global level. Finally, the electrical method was discussed in the treatment of waste entering the soil, and compared with these methods to reach scientific and economic conclusions.
