The Continuing Education Unit / College of Engineering Al-Khwarizmi, in cooperation with the Department of Biomedical Engineering, organized a collaborative scientific symposium with the College of Medicine / University of Baghdad on Monday (Oct. 17th 2022) in the College Council Secretariat hall, in the presence of the Dean of the College (Prof. Dr. Wadoud Taher Muhammad) ) and the assistant dean for scientific and administrative affairs, professors and faculty members from the College of Medicine and Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering. The representative of the Ministry of Health included the beginning of a welcoming speech by the Dean of the college to the attendees and an introduction to the Department of Biomedical Engineering as a link between the biomedical engineer and doctors, praising the scientific efforts. The meeting also included lectures and discussions from the faculty of college of medicine and graduates from the Department of Biomedical Engineering. The symposium aims to present a practical scientific cooperation between the biomedical engineer and the Ministry of Health and to reach a state of integration in joint work that serves health institutions, especially hospitals. That can provide a humanitarian service to the community, exchange views and ideas in these converging medical engineering specialties, and provide the necessary recommendations. Finally, The dean expressed the college thanks and gratitude to the attendees for their efforts and their presence in this prestigious symposium in the service of our beloved country (Iraq).
